Aimee Gulliver - FULL
GM Public Policy & Government Relations
My name is Aimee, and I work at Vector, New Zealand's largest electricity distributor. I have been at Vector for 2.5 years, and I lead Vector's public policy and government relations, which means I connect what Vector is doing with the Government - whether that is Ministers, MPs, Beehive staffers, or Ministry officials. I write submissions and advocate for our interests to the Government. A lot of my work is in building and maintaining relationships, and I am very external-facing.
I studied Law and a BA in Politics at Otago and worked for a year as a lawyer at Russell McVeagh. I then studied for a postgraduate diploma in journalism. I worked as a journalist at Stuff, including in the Parliamentary press gallery, then went to work for the Minister of Foreign Affairs as chief of staff. My most well-known work would be writing Ashley Bloomfield's speeches for the 1 pm press conferences during the COVID pandemic.
I live in Wellington with my husband and a nearly 4-year-old little girl, Frankie. I have just volunteered as Wellington coordinator for the Love Grace handbag appeal, empowering survivors of domestic violence in honour of Grace Millane.
I still consider myself pretty new to energy, having been in my role for 18 months - there is so much to learn, but I am a great example that you don't need to be a technical expert and that different expertise is needed in different areas. If you're keen to chat, I'd love to connect - I'm super passionate about helping young women get ahead.

My current focus is ethical stewardship and sustainability — shaping supplier partnerships grounded in transparency, accountability, and long-term value.
With a strategic and disciplined approach, I’m comfortable making considered decisions in uncertain environments, challenging established ways of working, and maintaining high standards while remaining pragmatic and hands-on.
I’m a people-centred supply chain leader who thrives in complexity, guiding organisations through change with energy, clarity, and intent.

I'm originally from Mount Maunganui, and outside of work I enjoy podcasts, reading, watching sport, and going to the gym.
I’m really grateful for the exposure I had to engineering and STEM in high school, and I believe talking to people in fields you’re curious about (and asking heaps of questions) is one of the best ways to figure out what interests you most.
I'm excited to meet you, learn more about your interests, and share my experiences :)

Kerry Fabrie - FULL
Communications Manager, The Lines Company
Kia ora, I’m Kerry Fabrie, Communications Manager.
I’ve worked in communications across a range of sectors and countries, starting with a large mining company in South Africa, moving into local government in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and now working in the electricity distribution sector. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how powerful good communication can be—especially when people are under pressure, including during civil defence emergencies where clear, calm information really matters.
I hold a Diploma in Public Relations and am qualified in IAP2 (community participation and engagement) as well as Public Information Management (PIM), a key communications role within the civil defence structure.
What I love about working in communications is how versatile and varied it is. No two days are the same—we tell stories about all sorts of things, which gives you a great, broad view of an organisation rather than just one small slice. The work is fast-moving and exciting, with new technology constantly changing how we connect with people, while still valuing good old-fashioned communication too.
I’m excited about seeing more women in the electricity industry and am really looking forward to these mentoring sessions, especially the chance to help inspire young women to achieve their career dreams.

I also have the privilege of co-chairing Aotearoa's Future Networks Forum. It's a fascinating sector, full of challenges with no easy answers, and the more great people we have working together to solve them, the better our country will be!
Over my career, I've benefited hugely from amazing mentors, and I want to continue that with our next generation. I am passionate about bringing outstanding people into our sector and supporting them to fulfil their dreams. I want people to feel like they are making a difference, to be genuinely proud of the work they do, and, at the end of the day, look back with real satisfaction on the contribution they made. If I can help enable that in just a small way, I'll be absolutely stoked!

I live here with my family, comprising of myself, my husband and our two kids. My free time mainly revolves around my kids, spending time with them.
